Excursiones al Desierto is a local private-tour agency based in Merzouga, in the very heart of the Erg Chebbi desert. Although our roots are in the Sahara dunes, we organise tailor-made trips all over Morocco: from the bustling imperial cities (Marrakech, Fez, Rabat) to the Atlas valleys, the Todra gorges, the Atlantic coast and, of course, the endless desert landscapes.
Specialising in Spanish-speaking travellers, we design private, flexible routes where you are the protagonist. No mass groups, no rigid itineraries, and the warmth of those who welcome you to their own land.

Our mission is to break down the walls of impersonal tourism. We want every traveller who trusts us to return home not just with beautiful photos, but with a soul full of stories, scents, flavours and the warmth of the Berber people.
We build cultural bridges between Spain, Latin America and Morocco, removing the barriers of language and mistrust. Fulfilling our mission means you don't feel like a tourist, but like a friend we guide with honesty, safety and passion for every corner of our country.

Before your trip
Do I need a visa to travel to Morocco?
Citizens of Spain and most Latin American countries do not need a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days; a valid passport is enough. Check according to your nationality.
What is the best time to visit Morocco?
Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) offer the best weather. Winter is ideal by day but cold at night in the desert; summer is hot.
What language will you assist me in?
In your language from start to finish: on WhatsApp before the trip and with a driver-guide who speaks your language throughout the route.
Is it safe to travel in Morocco?
Yes. Morocco is a safe and welcoming country for tourism, and you travel accompanied by our local team at all times.
Booking and during the trip
How do I book and pay?
You confirm your spot with a 30% deposit via PayPal and pay the rest during the trip. Beforehand we send you a tailor-made quote, no commitment.
Are the tours private?
Yes, all of them. You travel only with your group and your driver-guide, at your own pace and with no big groups.
What type of accommodation do you offer?
Riads, charming hotels and desert camps, in Standard, Superior or Luxury category. You choose.
Can I travel with children?
Of course. As they are private we adapt the pace; the camel ride is optional and can be replaced with a 4x4.
